With all the Destiny writing I've been doing over the past year, and my frequent activity on the r/DestinyJournals subreddit, I've seen a few people posting their own concepts for exotic weapons or armors, complete with lore entries. I previously wrote about Dredgen Bog's custom linear fusion rifle, and prototype Weapon of Sorrow (read: evil weapon), the Huntsman Longbore, and then filled in some details about all of the Shadows of Salvation, including their own respective Weapons of Sorrow.
Whereas the Longbore was basically an exotic linear fusion rifle with a damage-over-time effect, I decided to actually put some new mechanics into the other Shadows' weapons, like Dredgen Vergift's Hanlon's Inverse (someone on r/DestinyJournals accurately described it as an "inverse Well of Radiance"), but when I sat down to think about Dredgen Ruin's auto rifle, I decided to do something else, taking an anti-champion mod and making it intrinsic to the weapon...

LORE
The Hunter grunted as she was slammed back into the wall, lashing out with her knife, but the Titan just caught the blade through the palm, closing fingers over the other Guardian's hand and using that grip to haul the Hunter forward and slam her bare head into the Hunter's mask. The Exo beneath blinked her eyes through the shattered faceplate at Hadil Ainu, blood streaming down her face as she regarded the blade through her hand with a detached air.
The Hunter took advantage of the momentary distraction to go for her backup knife, but the Titan moved with a sudden speed that caught her by surprise, yanking on the trapped hand again with enough force to crack and splinter the Exo's mechanical components, pulling her off-balance. With a fluid movement, Ainu's other fist came up and punched clean through the Hunter's shoulder, severing the arm from the socket.
The Exo fell to the ground, suppressing the urge to scream as she clutched her sparking stump. Above her, Ainu tossed the arm aside, the blade still through her palm, blood still dripping down her face. The Titan bent down to retrieve her fallen weapon, turning it over to inspect it briefly. The Hunter glared through her shattered mask. "You and your friends can't hide forever."
Ainu reloaded the magazine as she remarked, "It is not our intent to hide forever." She brushed some dirt off the iron sights, then paused as she regarded the knife still embedded in her wrist. Stowing the gun, the Awoken pulled the knife free and flexed her fingers with the same detached expression on her face.
The Hunter pushed herself into a seated position against the wall. "When the rest of the Praxic Order catches up with me, they'll make sure you suffer for what you've done."
"At this point, it's a given," Ainu agreed. "There will be pain." And there was finally a smile on her bloodied face as she drew out her auto rifle. "It just won't be mine."
There was a flash of Light as the Hunter drew her Golden Gun, but with the same unexpected speed, Hadil Ainu spun and fired. There was a sound of thunder and the Light went out.
