// TRANSCRIBER'S NOTES

[REGARDING THE MEDIUM-- The pages transcribed for this entry were recovered by AUN-326, whose report indicates they were found in a disused campsite located in a cave in the region of Rathmore Chaos on Europa. (see REP #326-EUR-0247-1105)

The papers are of standard journal stock, as commonly used by Warlocks of various guilds and factions. Analysis indicates trace amounts of radiolarian culture and alkane spores in the paper, while the ink shows similar trace amounts of phaseglass and relic iron. However, the analysis also indicates that the trace elements are from within the last three months, well after the worlds and moons from which the elements originated were consumed by the Darkness with the arrival of the Black Fleet.

Additionally, there were further stains, burn marks, and other damage on the pages. Dense writing scrawl, some of which overwrote characters on the media, also affected transcription. I have done the best I can to transcribe what I could.

REGARDING THE CONTENT-- As always, I am presenting the content of the media given to me without commentary. Analysis of the content's meaning is for someone else to determine.

Along with the writing in standard Common, there are passages which were in cipher, determined during transcription to be a combination of a caesarian shift cipher, further obscured with a set of conlang lettering. I presume the conlang lettering was created by the author for their own purposes, to obfuscate her journal from prying eyes, and was caesarian shifted to further hide its contents. To my eye, the conlang lettering was adapted from a form of Reefborn Awoken writing.

I have provided additional annotations throughout, where relevant.

REGARDING TRANSCRIPT CODE:  Text included in "{ }" has been translated from cipher. -MIL-921]

Destiny 2 - A New Accolade

Preface: Last year, during Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, in the lead up to the Season of Dawn, Bungie posted a lore story on their website called The Accolade, detailing some of the acts of heroism that Saint-14 performed during his life, for which the people he rescued gifted him ribbons and strips of cloth for remembrance. This year, during Beyond Light's Season of the Splicer, we saw more of Saint, as he learned to grow past his old hatred of the Fallen, culminating in his defending the Eliksni Quarter during the Vex Invasion. This follows up on that, and should be read as being concurrent with the lore book Ripples, "II - The Pigeon and the Splicer."

Destiny 2 - Transcript of a Farsighted Conversation

Destiny 2 - Transcript of an Imprisoned Conversation

Preface: This is written during Week 1 of Destiny 2's Season of the Lost, which at the time of this posting, is still ongoing. SPOILERS BELOW THE BREAK. Even the heading of the "transcript" has spoilers. You have been warned.

Destiny 2 - Account of an Incursion

Preface: In the epilogue of Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer, bigoted antagonist Lakshmi-2 tried to remove the Eliksni from the Last City using Vex technology, but instead sealed her own fate and unleashed the Vex on the city. Includes my rendition of Mithrax and Saint's tag-team defense...

The Parlour, Magpie District

"Aw, great, looks like the voice of hatred's got words again." Rega-7 glanced up from her hand to look at Sleight-3, across the table from her. The other Exo was looking past her to one of the various screens that adorned the interior of the Parlour. Other patrons and players were looking up from their games of chance as well to see the controversial leader of the Future War Cult speaking.

Rega shook her head and turned back to the game. "Let her spew her bile all she wants," the Hunter tossed a card down and was dealt another one from Paul Kent. "I don't like her."

Sleight eyed her. "Really? Heard you spout a few unkind things about Fallen yourself, Rega, once upon."

She scoffed. "I don't like people who shoot at me. But hey, Saint's been speaking up for House Light. That's good enough for me."

Then Paul glanced around at the screens. "Wait. What'd she just say?"

The booths in the Parlour had speakers, and he reached out to up the volume on theirs in time to hear Lakshmi. "--have learned how to safely command the power of the Vex--"

Rega did look around now. "What?" The Hunter shook her head, slamming her cards down on the table. "Lakshmi, you rot-brained boltneck!"

"--will tear open a rift, banish the Fallen to the depths of--"

The Hunter shoved part of her earnings into the pot, pocketing the rest. "Sorry, gotta go! Paul, talk to you later!" And then she was gone, out the door at a run, with several other Guardians rushing out of the Parlour in similar haste.

Destiny 2 - Prey-Stalker

Preface: Something of a follow-up to "Dark Hunts" and "The Huntmaster, Forsworn." Inspired during Solstice of Heroes 2021, following the lore of the Compass Rose shotgun implying the three Guardians depicted below were going to become a fireteam...

"You're sure this is the right place?" The Warlock asked as she ducked under a fallen tree, regarding the somewhat threadbare forest around them. "Ikora said this guy was hanging around Botza with the Eliksni refugees."

The Hunter nodded, turning and pointing into the distance. "He's not far from it. Botza's Wall is just over there." He shrugged, his shotgun resting on his shoulder. "Besides, this guy's a Hunter, and you know we like it outside the Wall."

She nodded doubtfully. Unlike her teammate, she had no weapons on her, though her Ghost was primed to compile one into her hands in a blink of an eye if needed. "You know anything more about this guy? All Ikora said was that he's a relatively new Light. You think he's one of the new Russian cohort?"

"I know a little bit. He's been making some waves in the past year or so." He nipped over a log and a pile of rocks as he went on. "Word is he First Rezzed out in the Reef somewhere."
