Note from Jay: Go back and read part one of this series.
Summary: A three-Guardian fireteam goes into the ruins of Calcutta, following an energy signal.
Random bits of creativity and other stuff. Because if I don't put them here, I'll lose them.

Destiny: The Black Hole of Calcutta - Part 1 - A Crazy Plan
"Remind me again why we came to Calcutta?" Rega-7 demanded as she hunkered behind the overturned cargo truck. Plasma rounds splashed off the rusted hulk as the Walker's rotary cannon fired. Eliksni chatter barked around them, and she ducked lower as Shock rounds spiraled over her head.
"Unknown energy signal was detected here," Wahei's tone was bright, heedless of the Walker's rotary cannon swiveling in her direction. As plasma chewed through the ceramacrete K-rail, she Blinked to another piece of cover, a similarly rusted hulk of an air-car. "And there's a lot of artifacts to be found here. Master Rahool and Ikora are both eager to get anything we can recover here. Two behind you," she added, as an afterthought.
Rega swiveled around and raised her hand cannon, snapping off two quick shots, and two Dregs fell back. "Did either of them mention that Fallen are swarming all over the damned place?" She flung an incendiary grenade into the hole after them, and heard howling from within before flames shot out along with the whump of the explosion.
Wahei tilted her head, and Rega knew the Awoken's lips were pursing in thought behind her helmet. Please don't get distracted by the language, the Hunter thought to herself, and sure enough, Wahei's tone was thoughtful. "Do Eliksni swarm, per se? The ruins of Calcutta are, indeed, teeming with them, but swarming is a verb better suited to describe the Hive--"
"Not the time, Wahei!" Rega shouted as her Hawkmoon barked three more times.

Wrestl Drivl: Re-Booking Ambrose vs Lesnar
Another wrestling-related idea of mine. This could be an interesting experiment for me if I can come up with other matches to do this with, but hey, there's plenty of material to work with in the wrestling world.
So I set myself a little challenge: Re-book any wrestling match from 2016. Goal is to make all participants in the match look good coming out of it. No burials here.
Some ground-rules:
(1) No changing the result. Whoever wins, still wins.
(2) No additions to the match or changes of stipulation.
(3) Adjust the build-up to the match and/or the booking of the match itself to tell a better story.
I enjoyed the idea, and my first offering is re-booking Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar from Wrestlemania 32.

Wrestl Drivl: Lucha Underground - The Tribeless
Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a big wrestling fan. WWE is fine (for a given definition of "fine") but it's the indies that frequently keep my attention these days. They can provide crazier and more intense in-ring action than you'll see on Raw or Smackdown, and depending on the company, can provide better storytelling, too.
No company proves this point better than Lucha Underground, on El Rey Network. The best way to describe LU is "It's not a wrestling show. It's a television show about wrestling." (There is a difference.) LU tells the story of the titular company, run by a shady promoter named Dario Cueto, as he pits people against one another for his love of violence and bloodshed. But as it enters its third season, more and more aspects of quasi-Aztec lore enter the picture, and that's where this idea of mine comes up.
Spoilers for Lucha Underground through Season 3, Episode 8 below the break.

28th.Aug.2016 - RWBY Team Ideas
It's been a while since I posted anything here. Figured it was time I blew some dust off.
So, I'm a fan of Rooster Teeth's animated series RWBY, and I love a lot of the character design that goes along with it, especially the colorful naming convention. One of the aspects of character creation that I love is coming up with a good, meaningful name, so Monty Oum's (RIP) rules about the naming of characters within its setting are right up my alley.
I've dabbled in the idea of creating my own characters within the world of Remnant (the setting of RWBY), and often wish I had better artistic talent to draw or otherwise create visual aids for the characters in my head. So in place of that, I'll just provide some descriptions of the characters and some of the ideas I have in my head for them.
(Note: Below the break, I do make mention of things that happen toward the end of Season 3, so beware of spoilers. And seriously, just go watch the series! It's all up on RoosterTeeth.com or YouTube. Do it now.)
